SmartGrid

The challenges and goals: To demonstrate through design that the Smart Grid program gives providers and consumers the tools and resources they need to connect to, and benefit from, a smarter energy grid.

The big idea: It's all about intelligent information and connections. That's why our initial goal, the logo, depicts a connected G (for grid) in an elegant, simple and technical design. From there, we leverage that G as the symbol for directly and effectively connecting energy providers and consumers.

The result: Our work has helped NREL provide a wide-ranging group of Smart Grid stakeholders with a tangible brand around which to rally. Having a unified and strong presence gives this program a solid foundation on which to build.
